What Goes Into a Bathroom Renovation Quote

• Hacking and disposal — removing existing tiles, fixtures, and fittings before new works can begin.
• Waterproofing — the most important hidden item. Done properly, you never think about it again; done poorly, it causes leaks and disputes with neighbours below. This is not the place to cut corners.
• Tiling — wall and floor tiling is priced by area, and the tile you choose (ceramic, homogeneous, larger formats) affects both material and laying cost.
• Plumbing works — new taps, concealed piping, relocating fixtures, or converting a bathtub to a shower area all involve licensed plumbing work.
• Fixtures and fittings — toilet bowl, basin, taps, shower set, vanity, mirror, and accessories span a wide price range depending on brand and finish.
• Extras — shower screens, storage niches, vanity carpentry, and water heater installation add to the scope.

Why Bathroom Quotes Vary So Much

The condition behind your existing tiles is unknown until hacking begins, fixture positions may or may not be moving, and HDB bathrooms have specific requirements for waterproofing works.
